OK, OK...so my golf score wasn't the most legit. Maybe that 92 should've been closer to 100. But I honestly only took three or four mulligans (two were on the same hole), but the overriding point is that we had fun and that's what it's all about, right? It was fun for both of us to laugh at my crappy shots, and to celebrate Dawn's great shots. But at the same time, I did take most of the penalty strokes I was supposed to take, so I wasn't REALLY cheating.

And we had plenty of laughs, to be honest. On the 10th hole, I knocked four balls out of bounds (and lost them) before I finally decided to switch clubs and be a little more conservative about my approach to that hole.

Yesterday we got a chance to go out and do some more Christmas shopping. I think Dawn's pretty much done now, and I'm all but done except for a couple of gifts that I have to wait until next week in LA to pick up. Molly got a haircut, too. The gal at the groomer said that the people who came in right after we dropped Molly off thought she was so cute that they asked if it was OK to take a picture of her. We thought that was pretty cool.

The weather yesterday was absolutely beautiful. Today, not so much. It's cloudy and chilly. Probably in the low 50s right now. They're still not predicting any rain for the Cochella Valley (where Palm Springs and its row of suburbs is), but it's icky. Then again, I guess I shouldn't complain.

This morning we were awakened by some thumping sounds that our furnace is making, so that's atop my list of things to do today...to investigate that a little. It kind of sounded like someone softly bumping on metal ducts. Anyone have any hints on where to start?

Still haven't heard anything about the job I interviewed for. Not feeling too good about it. :(
