Lucy gets to go running on the beach. She hasn't done this for years. She loved every second of it...and tonight, she's sleeping pretty soundly on the couch.

Sounds like you are having a great time. We have traveled that stretch of 101 very often, and it is very beautiful. Hope you stopped at the Bandon Cheese Factory too. We always spend too much time and money there. If you have the time, as you are on your Southward journey, there is a very lovely Victorian village at Ferndale, CA. That is just South of Eureka. Think you would enjoy seeing it, if you have not been there before. Although we have never been there around the holidays, we hear they do it up real nice. It may, however, be too early for that. Stay safe and enjoy your travels.
