Thank you all! - Nelson
Thanks to everyone who has sent along their best birthday wishes...everyone in my family, many friends. It has been very much appreciated. We were just talking about how neat it is that we're doing this blog and people are reading it...thank you to everyone for that. Keep the comments coming...we love reading them.
As Dawn said, we're in Lincoln City...granted it took us 4 days to get here. But we're taking our tim and having a great trip. We've commented several times today that while we realize we're only four days into the whole thing, we're really having a good time, and so far we're enjoying living in the motor home.
Tonight we're in the parking lot at the Chinook Winds Casino, with a handful of other RV'ers. It's the first time on this trip that we haven't had hookups for power, water or sewer. It seems as if we've been doing things right, though. The water tank isn't running low, the black water tank isn't overfilling, and the gray water tank is just fine, too. We're running the generator this evening, to watch a little television.
Tomorrow, we'll visit the outlet mall here in Lincoln City and we'll likely take some time to let the dogs play on the beach. The weather has been absolutely beautiful.
We're a couple of lucky people, really. Thanks for reading...and commenting.

Well Nelson you are getting into the RV ing thing. I know how you feel now as we did it for some years but only like 14 days at a time. Mike Walcker stoped into the office yeasterday and said that they will be going to Az in the spring and would like to meet up with you. I will pass this blog and your e-mail to him so he can keep up with you also. Sandy never liked the free parking as she could not watch TV. That is what camping is all about. Things that you don't do every day. There are some state parks down the road that you could stay at that are nice. One is Beachside state park just south of Waldport. We have stay there a number of times. Also Sunset Bay State Parks by Coos Bay. Cape Blanco state park before you get to Port Orford. Also a nice park just before you leave Gold Beach. They have a lighthouse that you can walk up to the top and view the water. About 50 feet high. Outside of that at the rate you are going you mite have time to stay at some of these. Just have fun. At 39 now you are getting old so injoy the things now before you get too old like me. Mike said not to drive though the redwood trees in Northern CA as the motor home may not fit. And with your driving skills take him on his work. Just on other thing. Do things that you have not done before. Malls and outlet stores are everwhere. Get the dogs on the beach, put sand on the carpet. Don't eat out so much. Hot dogs and hambergers in the motor home are a must. TV dinners in the micrwave are good also. Cookies and ice cream befor bed. No hankie packie stuff after dark and the motor home rocks and there are people that walk at night and they may just knok on the door to see what is wrong with the stabilizers. Have a fun day.
A blog site to the Jetster is like giving him the micaphone (sp) at a banquet. Always loved the Oregon coast camping scene but we did it in a tent. I'm surprised Tillamock let you take pictures. Remember age is a relative thing you are only as old as you feel and act. Later, Ron
