This is the travel diary of our "snowbird" winter in Arizona. We'll try our best to update this every day along to keep our friends and family updated on our lives.

Dawn

Ok Joan and Ron, we are definitely wimpy campers. We always camp within 15 minutes from our house and we always go home for things. I know it's not "real" camping, but this is how we like it and you guys probably would too. The following is a very typical camping trip for us...

You got to be kidding, RIGHT. I think you may have the story a little backwards! By the looks of it you must of had the Teq. before the recycled art show!!! Or was it a real art show, I've read stoies about this kind of shows. You can wrap the biscuit dough around a hot dog and then cook it also. But Nelson missed one hella of a final heat, it was worth the wait!!! I think you guys should buy a Harley and then we could all go on vacation on our bikes. You wouldn't beleive soom of the site you can see at a bike get together or mabe the Stugis thing would be fun!! To each there own and as long as you have fun doing it who cares, enjoy life, don't fret the small stuff. Some time if you can get away for awhile come to Moses Lake an we can camp in the sand dunes, I think its fun not sure Cheryl does!

OMG! I can't believe this. Is this actually what they call "camping" these days? Things that make you go hmmmmm! I think you are both dotty. I'm with mom on the bacon. Is that a cost cutting deal or a calorie cutting deal? That is simply a "why bother" amount. Wait a minute--I'll bet that was Molly's breakfast. Looks like the proper serving for a beast of her size.
Well, you keep me amused. What is happening this weekend? Maybe "not real" skydiving?

Hey Joan!
Actually, there were only two pieces of bacon left in the pan because a bear came up from out of the woods and stole all but those two pieces. It would have probably taken those, too, but Molly barked and startled the poor bear...then I tackled it and beat the snot out of it...the bear gave back the bacon. Dawn didn't take pictures of the whole event because she tracking down Lucy, who was running away. I've never seen Lucy run so fast. Not sure what that was all about, but this "I'm so old, all I want to do is sleep, and I can't jump up on the couch or the bed anymore" act of Lucy's is just that...an act.

You shoulda seen the size of that bear. You would have been impressed by our camping adventures, then. ;)

Nelson,
Was this bear chase before or after you made the twirlydoodles with the "whomp" biscuits? Remember, Dawn already told us you were only 15 minutes from home. The bears would have had better pickins in someone's garbage can than to bother with your two strips of bacon and mess with your ferocious beast.

I think the bear thing happened after a few margaritas! ;)
