Dawn & Nelson-Snowbirds

This is the travel diary of our "snowbird" winter in Arizona. We'll try our best to update this every day along to keep our friends and family updated on our lives.

My honey...watching the hydroplanes doing their testing on the Columbia River yesterday. In between boat runs, she's been reading -- studying hard to make sure her new little business performs well. It's really neat to see how excited she is about the new business. After being a weenie about taking the plunge, I'm really excited about the business now, too.

This is one of the 'little boats' running in the electric race I went to on July 23 in Tacoma.

This is one of the big boats we're watching race this weekend in the Tri-Cities.

Dawn, I recognize the back of that book. That is a "for dummies" book. How do I know that? Umm--I dunno--lemme sea- english for dummies-that was it. I hope it is a "how to make 1000 different lattes for dummies" and not "how to run a business for dummies". I've heard people can be real stinkers if their coffee isn't right. I am not a coffee drinker, so it's all mud to me. But--for some--it can be a life changing event if their half caff is not right. Heaven forbid that they should become fully wired and complete all circuits. They would probably blow up. So, in case you are not real up to date on cleaning skills, you may need to pick up "janitorial skills for dummies" too, in case you accidentally fully load some poor unsuspecting customer and end up with entrails on your floors and walls. I've heard that massive blood can be very difficult to remove.
